— Rundele Stakeholders Rain Encomium On Dr Chidi Lloyd For Keeping To His Promise
— As Emolga PDP Ward-to-Ward Sensitization Team Visits Wards 3, 4 and 7
Emohua and Rundele communities in Emohua local government area on Tuesday reaffirmed their loyalty and support to the leadership of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, promising to adhere strictly to the governor’s directive on the interest of Rivers State in the forthcoming presidential election in Nigeria slated for Saturday 25th February 2023.
The reaffirmation was made when the Emohua LGA campaign council of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) visited wards 3, 4 and 7 (Emohua I & II and Rundele) in continuation of the ward-to-ward sensitization and mobilization of voters across the LGA ahead of the February 25 and March 11 general elections.
At the venue of the sensitization rally along Uke-Eli road in Rundele (Ward 7), the chairman of the PDP in the ward, Mr Vincent Alete Wuzor described the visit of the LGA campaign council to Rundele as a funfair and not a campaign rally, adding that the people of Rundele were already prepared to secure victory for the Rivers PDP governorship, national and state assembly candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
The ward chairman and other leaders of the PDP in Rundele took turns to rain encomium on the chairman of Emohua LGA, Dr Chidi Lloyd for considering the construction of the 1.5-kilometre Uke-Eli road with 3-kilometre drainage in Rundele in his administration’s infrastructure revolution across Emohua LGA, describing the council chairman as a promise keeper.
The leaders of the PDP in Rundele in their separate remarks vowed to deliver their respective polling units to the PDP in appreciation of the actualization of the Uke-Eli road project by the administration of Dr Chidi Lloyd.
They however prayed that the next administration in the state to be headed by Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the standard bearer of the PDP in Rivers State would consider the reconstruction of Rundele road from East-West road to Agba-Ndele community where the present administration is already constructing a bridge linking Emohua and Abua-Odual LGAs.
Notable leaders of PDP in Rundele who spoke at the event include the erstwhile Special Assistant on ICT to Rivers State Governor Hon GoodLife Nmekini; Councillor representing Ward 7 in Emohua Legislative Assembly, Hon Emenike Wokama, Secretary of PDP caucus in Emohua LGA, Mr Princewill Obodo and Mr Jack Omodu amongst others.
At the popular Ahia-Ezi field in Emohua where wards 3 and 4 comprising the 8 communities in Emohua kingdom held a joint rally, the chairman of Emohua LGA and PDP campaign coordinator in the LGA, Dr Chidi Lloyd noted that the PDP doesn’t need to campaign in the area, owing to the visible footprints of the party in the area.
He maintained that the forthcoming general election is only an opportunity for the people of the area to appreciate the PDP and the governor of Rivers State, H.E Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for his loving kindness to the people of the area, reaffirming his confidence in notable leaders across Emohua communities who would ensure victory for the PDP in their respective communities.
The Chief of Staff Rivers State Government House, Chief Engr Chukwuemeka Woke; the Vice-chancellor of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Prof. Okay Onuchuku; the Provost Rivers State University Medical School, Prof. Chituru Orluwene and the State Youth Leader of PDP, Hon Ikpechi Oriji were amongst leaders of the PDP from the two wards (3 & 4) who took turns to express optimism that the people of the area would do everything possible to improve on the successes recorded in previous elections in the area.
The leaders also promised to adhere strictly to the directive of Governor Nyesom Wike on the choice of Rivers State, with regard to the presidential election billed for February 25, 2023.
Other PDP leaders across wards 3 and 4 who spoke at the joint rally in the Ahia-Ezi field include Hon Charles Beke, Engr. Nnamdi Abah, Sunny Ehule, Adiele Ogbor, Mrs Grace Emeka-Woke , Hon Arthur Uchendu, Dame Dr. Victoria Sergeant-Awuse and Hon Achinike Wordu.
The sensitization rally also featured solidarity speeches from the chairman of PDP in Emohua LGA, Hon Uche Minikwu and a member representing Emohua constituency in the state assembly, Hon Sam Ogeh who introduced the candidate for the Ikwerre-Emohua Federal Constituency seat, Hon Barr Boniface Emerengwa and the state assembly candidate for Emohua constituency seat, Hon Justina Emeji to the cheering crowd at the campaign rally.
Earlier the Emohua LGA campaign train of the PDP had paid homage to the palace of the paramount ruler of Emohua kingdom, HRM Sir Ohna Sergeant Awuse in Rumuche -Emohua and Eze Damian Ejiowhor, the paramount ruler of Rundele in Uke-Eli, Rundele to seek their blessings and support ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
